Community

Wishing Tree_02

Wishing Tree Project

As we are approaching the feast of “The Nativity of the Lord”, we would like to invite all our parishioners to decorate our 10-foot-tall Christmas tree.

Let us come together as a community with renewed hope to celebrate Christmas. We can certainly place our trust and all our hope in Jesus who is the Emmanuel.

“Yes, I know what plans I have in mind for you, Yahweh declares, plans for peace, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” – Jer 29:11.

All you need to do is:

  • Pick up a colorful waterproof tag from the pew where you will be seated during weekend ECs on 11 and 12 December

Christmas Tag 01

  • Write down your wish(es) on the waterproof tag using an oil-based marker. If you are unable to find a suitable marker, you can come back to the Church to do it. We have prepared some oil-based markers placed on a small table near to pantry area for this purpose. Please ensure to sanitize your hands before and after using the marker.

  • Lastly, remember to bring back your hand written tag to the church by 19th Dec and drop it inside the box (at the back of worship hall/ pantry area).

Daughters of St Paul

New audiobooks from the
Daughters of St Paul

In his World Mission Sunday message, Pope Francis reminds us that “To be on mission is to be willing to think as Christ does, to believe with him that those around us are also my brothers and sisters.”

As an aid for the synod, a highly recommended book is Pope Francis’ encyclical on fraternity and social friendship, Fratelli Tutti, now available as an audio book so you can listen to it as you commute, walk, cycle, wherever you are. Also on audiobook is Nostra Aetate, the ever relevant Vatican II document on our relationship with other religions. Both available on Audible, and wherever great books are heard! Soon also on Spotify and Apple Music.
