“Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand!”

“Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight His paths.”

Advent means “Coming”. During this Advent season, let us reflect on the past, present and future comings of Jesus into the world as a fulfilment of God’s promise of salvation.

Are you willing and ready to turn away from your old ways of life, in full repentance and reparation for Christ’s Second Coming? Are you still clinging on to the ways of this world?

Each of us have received the gifts of the Holy Spirit at baptism, to lead our lives in holiness and godliness, as we wait in joyful hope for the coming of Christ this Christmas. Can we make straight the path for Christ’s coming into our hearts and bear good fruits?

2 Peter 3:8 says: “One day is as a thousand years and a thousand years are as a day.” Christ will indeed come.

The risen Lord is eternal and infinite and not restricted or measured by time in fulfilling His promise of salvation for all of us. God is patient with us, giving us more time to repent of our sins and renew our lives. Let us make good use of this time given through His love.

As we prepare ourselves, let us introduce more people to our Lord Jesus Christ and enter into a relationship with Him this Christmas.
