All Catholics partake of the Eucharist but not all Catholics understand the signs and gesture of the Eucharist. Even the deeper meaning of the words eludes some of us. It is hoped that those who participate will have a deeper appreciation of the Lord’s banquet and by this understanding enter into a fuller participation of the thanksgiving we give to God our Father through Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit.

“Don’t forget that the greatest inheritance you can give to your children is the faith. Try to see that it is not lost; nurture it, and leave it as an inheritance,” Pope Francis said on 10 January 2016.
He also reminds us that faith is the greatest treasure parents can leave their children and encourages us parents to make this faith grow throughout the lives of our children.
Is this your desire too? Journey with CSM’s Infant Baptism and discover the joys of connecting with parents in sharing faith with our children.
The next baptism intake months for 2022 are: Jul, Oct, Dec

Theology of the Body 02
Theology of the Body
22, 29 April;  6, 13 May 2022
8pm to 10.30pm
Presenter: Andrew Kong

Considered one of the greatest legacies of St John Paul II, this catechesis explains Catholic teachings through the lenses of the Nuptial Mystery. Understanding Sexuality, Love and the Meaning of Life is critical not only for marriage and sexual morality, but concerns the entire Gospel, the Bible and in fact the Whole Mission of Christ. A must for all in family and youth ministry and adult / teen catechesis; and all who wants to make sense of the sexual moral confusion and scandals in the Church and the world.

CHARITIES WEEK 2022

Jesus taught us to “love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:39). He came to serve those in need, and we too are called to do the same.

The season of Lent is when Caritas Singapore conducts its annual Archdiocesan fundraising campaign—Charities Week. Caritas is the social and community arm of the Catholic Church that assesses the needs of charities to fund programs to help our brothers and sisters in need.

Support the Charities Week 2022 and give generously. Your contributions will help serve the poor, vulnerable, and marginalised in our community. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues into its third year, these people continue to be the hardest hit economically and emotionally.

Pick up an appeal envelope at your parish or scan the QR code to donate. Share God’s love and blessings—so that no one is left behind.

Let us, as one Church, journey together to listen to each other’s faith experiences, joys and challenges. We invite all Catholics to join in the Synod conversations. Come together in small groups of 2 to 5 people to PRAY, REFLECT, SHARE and LISTEN to what God’s will might be for the Church going forward.  Find the conversation topics, starter questions, the steps to do this conversation and access to the submission form on www.catholic.sg/synod  May the Holy Spirit be with all of you as you begin your conversations.

Caritas Singapore Young Adults is calling for young adult volunteers to assist as facilitators for Project Funpack!

This is an initiative by Canossaville Children and Community Services to create opportunities for meaningful engagement of children under their care within their own households. As part of the Project, identified households will be given a new game each month to try out (such as Jenga, Boggle, Uno, etc.) so as to provide a platform for families to bond and engage their children. This will also serve as an outlet to help families relieve stress and tension in this difficult time.

We will need volunteers to act as facilitators to teach the families how to play the games and also to check in with the families on a monthly basis. There will be training provided. Come and join us on this journey of enriching family bonds through game time! Sign up here: https://forms.office.com/r/dmubjZF43Q

Daughters of St Paul

In his World Mission Sunday message, Pope Francis reminds us that “To be on mission is to be willing to think as Christ does, to believe with him that those around us are also my brothers and sisters.”

As an aid for the synod, a highly recommended book is Pope Francis’ encyclical on fraternity and social friendship, Fratelli Tutti, now available as an audio book so you can listen to it as you commute, walk, cycle, wherever you are. Also on audiobook is Nostra Aetate, the ever relevant Vatican II document on our relationship with other religions. Both available on Audible, and wherever great books are heard! Soon also on Spotify and Apple Music.
