The Art of Silence
Wed 12 March
8pm
St Michael Room

Silence is more than the absence of sound—it is a doorway to God’s presence. In a world filled with distractions, we rarely take the time to pause, be still, and listen. What if the answers you’ve been searching for are waiting in the quiet?

Fr. Terence will share how to be still and silent in the presence of God our Father.

No experience needed. Just come as you are.

CREATING SAFE SPACES
in Communities and Religious Institutions
22-23 March 2025

(2 days, non-stay in at La Salle House)

Register : https://forms.gle/TKeRHkzrdqrswEpa9

This two-day workshop seminar introduces Safeguarding as Charism and Spirituality, starting with its theological and spiritual foundation. Abuse and all its forms will be defined. The dynamics of victimization and offending will also be explored. This workshop is highly recommended to all holding leadership positions in the Church.

As Pope Francis insists, “We are a sign that the ministry of safeguarding belongs to all of us as it is part of the Church’s ministry, indeed of evangelization itself,” and without safe spaces and interior freedom from the heart, our Church will never be safe where the Gospel is freely proclaimed.”

Lead Like Jesus (LLJ)
15 & 29 March

Effective leadership – whether on the job, in the community, at church or in the home – starts on the inside. Knowing who we are, and to whom we belong to. One deals with one’s relationship to Christ. The other with one’s life purpose.

A foundational module based on the servant leadership modelled by Jesus Christ, exploring the 4 domains of leading like Jesus: the heart, head, hands and habits.

Venue at Agape Village. $200/- per pax including GST & lunch and tea break for 2 sessions and personal workbook.

ELISHA Emerging Leaders
1st half of 2025

ELISHA is a unique 6-month leadership journey that is developed by CLC to provide a strong spiritual and practical foundation for new and emerging leaders in the parishes and Archdiocesan Organisations.  Typically, these are individuals in their 20s to their 40s who are either already in leadership or earmarked for leadership, and have the potential to take on higher leadership roles in the future to help build the kingdom of God.

Comprising 5 training workshops and 1 weekend stay-in retreat over the first-half of 2025, ELISHA seeks to equip leaders with the foundation that they will need in their leadership journey of service as servant leaders.  These include cultivating a discipleship disposition, learning how to dialogue and relate with others in community, building capacity to discern God’s will when making decisions, and developing others in the way of delegating, facilitating participation and learning other practical organisational leadership skills.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Our Archdiocese has been working to build a more vibrant, evangelising and missionary Church. In sharing the Good News, we are bringing the hope and love of Christ to vast numbers of people.

Within our Church today, however, there are currently no premises large enough for our organisations and communities to hold their activities on a large scale. After much study, we concluded that the Church’s largest freehold site at 49 Upper Thomson Road could optimally be used to house major Archdiocesan organisations, a convention centre with overnight retreat facilities, a home for senior clergy – and more – for the long-term needs of the Church.

Beyond physical infrastructure, such a Catholic Hub can bring about a greater depth of communion. The facilities and organisations located there will enable collaboration for a more effective witnessing of the Gospel to the people of Singapore and reap economies of scale.
