Theme – Faith and Dedication to God
The Liturgical colour theme is white for Ordinary Time. Our flower arrangements this week are composed of the colours white with green and purple.
The colour represents All Saints’ Day is primarily white, symbolising purity, victory, joy, and light in Christ. White has been used for the celebration of saints who have won their victory in heaven, following the tradition of early Christians and the saints wearing white robes in the Book of Revelation.
Green symbolises praise, spiritual growth in Christ, nurtured by the Church and the Gospel. Green represents abundance, new life, anticipation, new beginning, flourishing healing, restoration, and hope. White, as a symbol of holiness, is the colour of light symbolising joy, cleanliness, goodness, loyalty, innocence, unifying, and purity resulting from Faith that listens to God’s voice and believes. It also symbolises righteousness, conquest, victory, peace, saints, completion, triumph, and beginning of a new life. Purple symbolises royalty, nobility, and sacred priesthood representing Jesus Christ’s sovereignty and authority.
