Theme – Christ who gave up everything for our sake
The Liturgical colour theme is green for Ordinary Time. Our flower arrangements this week are composed of the colours green with red and white.
Green symbolises praise, spiritual growth in Christ, nurtured by the Church and the Gospel. Green represents abundance, new life, anticipation, new beginning, flourishing healing, restoration, and hope. Red represents Christ, symbolising His sacrificial blood, the Eucharist, and martyrdom. Red also symbolises the presence of God, the Church. White, as a symbol of holiness, is the colour of light symbolising joy, cleanliness, goodness, loyalty, innocence, unifying, and purity resulting from Faith that listens to God’s voice and believes. It also symbolises righteousness, conquest, victory, peace, saints, completion, triumph, and beginning of a new life.
