Alleluia!!! Jesus is alive!!!
The empty tomb is not the proof of the resurrection. The empty tomb tells us that our tombs should be empty as well. During the season of Lent, we should have spent time clearing out the dead things in our lives. There is no life in the tomb. Jesus was dead and in the tomb but he is no more there. Scripture tells us we ‘must rise from the dead’. We are to have a new life and this new life is possible only outside of the tomb. The resurrection of the Lord was proven by the disciples seeing the Lord and having a meal with the Lord. New life is offered to us at the resurrection of the Lord. We who have walked away from the tomb must constantly walk away from the tomb because it is always there for us to go back to.
