Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

This year the Assumption falls on Saturday, 15 August 2026. Both this day and the following Sunday are days of obligation within our region.

For pastoral reasons, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei, have transferred the celebraion of the solemnity of the Assumption to Sunday, 16 August 2026.

All Eucharistic Celebrations this weekend will celebrate the solemnity of the Assumption, fulfilling your holy day of obligation.

EC timings remain as the usual weekend timings.
