You are called to continue the mission of Christ!

Introduction to Young People of CSM – We are updating this section.

Young people, are called by Christ to continue to mission that Jesus has entrusted the Apostles with, to go forth into the world and share the Good News with all (Mark 16:15)

The Role of Young People in Today’s Church

Investing in today’s youth is necessary in growing the body of Christ. Teaching young people in the church to grow in their relationship with the Lord prepares them to serve Christ in all they do. As a result, this nurtures the congregation and allows the church to flourish.

It is important for the truth of the gospel to be passed down from generation to generation in order to grow the body of Christ. Ultimately, helping youth to grow spiritually in their formative years will equip them to make an impact for Christ both now and in their future.

Support in order to Grow

Young People need guidance and support as they navigate through the most challenging part of their development and seek to grow in their walk with Christ. Christ-like leaders are needed to serve youths and young adults of the congregation and help them to reach their full potential.

A call to Mission for Youths by St John Paul II

“You, young people, are especially called to become missionaries of this New Evangelisation, by daily witnessing to the Word that saves.  The Church entrusts to young people the task of proclaiming to the world the joy which springs from having met Christ.

Dear friends, allow yourselves to be drawn to Christ; accept his invitation and follow him. Go and preach the Good News that redeems; do it with happiness in your hearts and become communicators of hope in a world which is often tempted to despair, communicators of faith in a society which at times seems resigned to disbelief, communicators of love in daily events that are often marked by a mentality of the most unbridled selfishness.” – St John Paul II
