Library

Our library is open!  We have about 300 books available in our library for borrowing.  We have a wide range of books on faith, spirituality, healing, Mother Mary and many others. For those who are interested in studies and deeper readings, we have commentaries, bible dictionary, church history books too.  A book review website indicated on this week’s Pilgrimage is also made available for your reference.

Due to the safety management measures, the list of books are made available in our CSM website under Library section for easy browsing.  To borrow, write in to csmtrove@gmail.com and indicate the title of the book.  Our librarians will provide you with more borrowing details.

We also have books for children ranging from 2 years old onwards.  We have also selected some  activities for our children to extend their book experience .  To have a peek on the type of activities, simply scan the QR code as shown. This would also be made available on this week’s Pilgrimage.

On 27 June, we will take up the Peter’s Pence Collection. Funds raised during this collection support the Universal Church and help the Holy Father as he shows mercy to the neediest people around the world, in recognition of the common humanity shared by peoples of all ethnicities and religious backgrounds.

Intercessory Prayers

Jesus promised: “If on earth two of you agree in asking for anything, it will be granted to you by my heavenly Father” (Matthew 18:19). One of the most powerful ways we can pray as intercessors is together with others.

Infant Baptism Preparation Team

We are looking for parishioners who will be helping us to prepare couples to have their babies baptised. The team will execute a programme that has been written for this purpose.

Baptisms take place only four times in a year in our parish.

“Ethics of Love, Sex & Marriage”

Why is there great discrepancy between traditional Christian morality and contemporary culture on sexuality? Can the Church impose its views on society at large? Who decides?

Let us explore these questions and much more in Module 4 of My Personal Moral Compass (MPMC) on Ethics of Love, Sex and Marriage!

Module 4 will start on 01 July 2021 and will be held weekly on Thursdays over Zoom live at 7:30 pm for seven weeks.

BRAVE CHATS

Clarity Singapore Limited

Remember the BRAVE Festival last year where Clarity Singapore shared about youth mental health and faith? We’re bringing an extension of it through our BRAVE CHATS, an evening of raw, authentic conversations as we share about our experiences in the Catholic youth mental health space! 

We’re inviting you to join us as participants, to:

• Discuss needs and challenges you face when speaking to youths about mental health
• Brainstorm feedback and ideas on how we can improve youth mental well-being in our Catholic communities
