Sunny is a husband and father of two young adult children. He is a qualified counsellor who is equipped with a Masters’ Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Certificate in Systemic Family Therapy. He has been involved in counselling for a decade. He is now working as a family therapist at Life & Lemonade and a part-time school counsellor. Before that, he was the was the executive director and a family therapist at Family Life Society. He has a passion for working with families to achieve meaning and fulfilment.

Shem is a loving husband and father of two. He has battled with an addiction to pornography for over 20 years and is happy to share his journey to bring hope to others.

- 82,000,000 porn videos are viewed by children every day.

- 9 out of 10 12 to 17 year olds think porn is OK
- 1 in 4 children harassed by strangers in chat rooms

St Augustine says to take in the meekness that characterises God’s mercy. The joy that the Christian has had this past week must now flow over into a life of serving his neighbour. Right before His passion Jesus gave us the “new commandment” to “love one another as I have loved you.” That’s the whole point of having His resurrection-life planted in our souls-that we become like Him.

The Catechism says, “All who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven. The Church gives the name Purgatory to this final purification” (1030–1031).
Scripture tells us that our intercession helps them: Sacrifices were offered for the dead even though they may have sinned.”… so that the dead may be pardoned for their sin (2 Maccabees 12:46). In praying for the dead, there is a solidarity among members of God’s people, between the living and the dead.
