Theme – Christ the King – Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe
Today is the final Sunday of our Church liturgical year, we celebrate the Solemnity of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. Next Sunday is Advent, the beginning of new liturgical year. Today, we profess the profound truth that our Lord is King! He is the King of all things, King of the Universe, King of Heaven, and all spiritual realities.
Today, God desires that His glorious Kingdom reign in every way begins by reigning in our souls. God invites us to invite Him in and take control of our lives to be the ruler of every passion, desire, thought and action that is ours, and when this happens, His Kingdom is firmly established within us.
It’s our duty to allow God’s Kingdom to grow within us and our family, be open to the ways that God wants to use us to help others. We must not be afraid to work toward the external establishment of God’s Kingdom in all that we do and in all that falls within our responsibility. When we cooperate with Him, His Kingdom will indeed come.
The Liturgical colour theme is green in Ordinary Time with green and white.
Green symbolizes spiritual growth in Christ, nurtured by the Church and the Gospel. Green represents new life, anticipation, new beginning, praise, flourishing healing, restoration, and hope. White symbolizes pure faith that listens to God’s voice and believes. White represents cleanliness, goodness, loyalty, purity, innocence, and unifying. It also symbolizes light, righteousness, joy, conquest, victory, peace, saints, completion, triumph, and beginning of a new life.
